Chapter 1539 Chapter 1532: Ready for a Journey (9)

Standing at the center of a lush, sprawling, moonlit plain, a young woman with eyes as pure and dark as the eternal night and short, black hair held the hilt of her sheathed saber. Her posture was steady and low, and her breathing was consistent and smooth, emulating the serenity of a breeze and the lightness of light. Eyes lightly shut, she wore a tiara befitting a majestically valiant queen of war.

The tiara glistened in the moonlight, exposing its seamless design containing intricate jewelry and an unmatched elegance. Sitting atop the young woman's head, it boosted her presence ten-fold. If the moon hanging above could shine on a single individual for its lifetime, if it could respond to such a question, there was no doubt that it would choose this young woman.

With every serene breath, surging waves of mana and swirling strings of light danced around her in concert. They were obedient, needy for attention, and outstandingly beautiful. An unnaturally natural phenomenon.

Her grip tightened at her hilt. The world fell silent as if deathly afraid. She removed her hand as her eyes slowly opened, her glow faded, and her posture lifted. A brief flash of happiness emerged in her eyes, her lips curling into a pleasant smile containing the purest of feelings.

Her heart moved in ways that only alerted her of his imminent arrival. It was purely an instinctual sense, emanating from her soul. Inexplicable as the great mysteries of the world yet forever correct.

The young woman was none other than Su Mei!

She whistled.

Whoosh!

From the moon's shadow, a winged stallion's figure descended with a prideful neigh! It was pure white. The mane of this winged stallion flashed with black lightning, adding an air of domineering thunderous might to its otherwise striking beauty of white.

"Xiao Bai," Su Mei softly said as Xiao Bai landed before her. She gently rubbed his spine as runes flashed across his skin. Instantly, Xiao Bai's white coat of hair was covered by heavy black barbing, granting him the appearance of a peerless warhorse meant to slaughter endless lives with its charge. He perfectly fit the steed of a knight. After inspecting the armor, Su Mei once again patted him, causing it to melt within the runes. The usefulness of the Essence of War was as limited as one's imagination.

From a few dozen feet away, a Void Portal manifested. Xiao Bai's eyes shone brightly as excitement immediately washed over its entire body. It neighed in welcome! He knew who was coming!

Su Mei's attention focused on the Void Portal. She knew that Wei Wuyin never needed to use a two-way Void Portal, and only did so to announce his arrival. It's already become natural for the Ascendants to consider non-Void Gate Void Portals as the arrival of their emperor!

The arrival of Wei Wuyin!

Wei Wuyin walked through the portal. His gait was firm with each step. However, as he touched the grass of the plains, his eyes flashed with Saber Intent. His saber will was stimulated and his Minor Authority of Saber Law howled within him.

"What an astonishingly fast and sharp saber," Wei Wuyin complimented earnestly. He could sense saber force scattered through every layer's spatial dimension and slicing against all distorted flow of time. Moreover, it glided across the rays of light and waves of mana seamlessly. It was so fast.

"Only six hundred and two swings," Su Mei added as she brought an excited Xiao Bai over to Wei Wuyin. Wei Wuyin laughed as he strode forward, giving Xiao Bai a hearty series of pats. He took out a sugar cube. Xiao Bai hurried forward. He quietly eyed Wei Wuyin's expression and only when the latter pushed it toward his mouth did Xiao Bai slurp it into his mouth.

A transcendent-quality, ninth-grade pill was stuffed in the center of this sugar cube, and he enjoyed it immensely. The crackling of the black lightning on his mane intensified as he shook his head, feeling as if his entire body had taken a cool mint. The refreshing sensation was incredibly addictive.

"..." Su Mei's eyes quietly observed Wei Wuyin. The playfulness in his hands. The poise of his form. The ease with which he smiled illuminated the world and stimulated the heart effortlessly. It was unrivaled.

"When do we leave?" Su Mei asked.

"Am I that easy to read?" Wei Wuyin rubbed Xiao Bai's neck and body, inspecting the strength within its power and the quality of its bloodline. He wasn't surprised by the question and was greatly relieved by Su Mei's profound insight.

"..." Su Mei's face was illuminated by the moonlit sky, and a shadow of a smile formed on her lips. It was an enchanting sight.

"Well, I guess it was about time. I still have wishes to fulfill too," Wei Wuyin laughed. Xue Yifei had caused quite a bit of trouble for him with her wish. For example, Su Mei's wish.

"We," Wei Wuyin blurted.

"We," Su Mei repeated.

A single word contained everything that needed to be said, and the young woman who was once a nobody was changed twice by this word. The first time was when Wei Wuyin brought her out of her dim, despairing life of abuse and emptiness on that day. The second time was when she firmly stood by his side, daring to follow him anywhere.

Even to death.

Even to life.

Unbeknownst to Wei Wuyin, there was another time between the two. This time redefined everything that Su Mei was as she aspired to be his light.

"We're going to another galaxy," Wei Wuyin announced. The Void Portal earlier began to emit a sound of crackling and whooshing. Wei Wuyin began to walk toward the Void Portal. Su Mei followed by his side, leading Xiao Bai along.

"..." Su Mei raised no objection.

"We're going because of that strange woman who swore to be mine-maidservant or anything else. They want me to revoke her will and void that promise." Wei Wuyin explained further.

"..." Su Mei did not object. She knew Wei Wuyin, and there was no need to voice anything here.

They arrived at the Void Portal.

"I intend to start a war on a galactic scale," Wei Wuyin plainly and directly declared.

"...How long will it last?" Su Mei's response was quick and simple! How long! Until victory! The calmness of her words was phenomenal, as if the only outcome or question that needed to be considered was: "How long do you want this war to last before ending it?"

Wei Wuyin's silver eyes with the intensity of a star and the beauty of a moon. "Potentially against an entire galaxy? Perhaps against two? A single year. Maybe two."

"..." Su Mei nodded. To her, this was enough to step forward.

The two entered the Void Portal before it closed entirely. A young man and a young woman who once left their sect together to traverse the Continent were now set to traverse the vast stars.

-----

The vast river of time was said to be infinite in variation and boundless. Whether that was true or not, only those who stood above it or obtained its blessing could truly understand its profound mysteries.

But there was one such variation. A branch split off by a past decision of a single individual, sufficient enough to generate an entire flow of time on its own. That single decision had the power to affect every decision within a specific region, capable of causing everlasting and indefinite change.

Wei Wuyin had promised to fulfill an ordinary woman's selfish wish, bestowing her the title of his wife. The entire Neo-Dawn Starfield learned of Mei Mei, the Neo-Dawn Empress.

A grand wedding was held, celebrated by the entire Neo-Dawn Stellar Region alongside the Chosen of the Azure-Prime Galactic Zone and Endless Voyage Realm cultivators. It was glorious to an extreme, as moving as an artistic masterpiece, and as era-defining as one might expect!

It was only a single wedding but a joint wedding! Over a dozen nation-toppling, gorgeous women of all races and origins. Among them, a young emerald-haired woman. Among them, a well-endowed, moving beauty. Among them, a grand princess.

As a united family, they ventured out into the stars.

However, from the very moment of Wei Wuyin's offer and Mei Mei's subsequent agreement, nothing aligned with these two flows of time.

In a world unaffected by the divergence of myriad time, a world of magenta, a gentle voice resounded.

"Another one has solidified..."

After a long moment, the voice said softly. "Your greatest challenge is coming, little ones. I can't help any of you with this one."

-----

Within a large-sized Voidship, inspired by the fundamental concepts of a Sky Destroyer, hovered at the edge of the Ninestar Starfield. There was a gathering of dozens of figures on deck, the majority of which were gorgeous, nation-toppling women, at the head of which was none other than the Grand Knight of Neo-Dawn, Wu Yu!
