My Identities Were All Exposed After I Was Pampered by Everyone at My Grandfather’s House!

Chapter 40

Speeding Between Life and Death

“You! Who are you? Don’t kill me, I have money, I’ll give you all my money, please don’t kill me.” Trand said to Qiao Yue in a trembling voice.

“Boss, our time is up.”

Stone limped to Qiao Yue’s side. He was accidentally grazed by a stray bullet during the gunfight just now. He didn’t feel anything at first, but now he started to feel a burning pain.

Qiao Yue’s eyes were cold, and Trand begged even louder for mercy.

Just when Stone thought that it was over, something happened. Trand suddenly jumped up and stabbed Qiao Yue’s left arm with a sharp dagger.

At the same time, Qiao Yue’s gunshot was heard, and Trand closed his eyes.

“Ah!”

A scream sounded, followed by two more gunshots. Trand’s cry of pain startled a flock of birds.

“Boss!”

Stone looked at the dagger in Qiao Yue’s left arm in horror. He was fooled by the weakness shown by Trand and did not expect him to fight back.

Cold sweat dripped down Qiao Yue’s forehead as she kicked the crippled Trand to the ground.

“I won’t let you die so easily. I’ll let you experience all the pain those children suffered.”

Trand looked at the dagger in Qiao Yue’s arm and laughed eerily, completely unlike his previous cowardly look.

“Take him away.” Qiao Yue said to the few people who had rushed over.

“Xiao Yue!” Chu Jia exclaimed when she saw Qiao Yue.

“Hurry up.”

Chu Jia helped Qiao Yue while the two colleagues behind her helped Stone. The remaining two people stuffed a piece of rag into Trand’s mouth and dragged him back to the car.

Although the two off-road vehicles had their windshields cracked and exteriors seriously damaged, they could still drive. Otherwise, they would have to hide in the bushes.

After the injured had been put into cars, Chu Jia poured gasoline on Trand’s two cars. A lighter fell in a parabola, and fire soared to the sky with a bang. The two off-road vehicles then sped away.

When they entered the city, their colleagues would come to pick them up.

“Boss, in front.”

The driver said quickly.

Qiao Yue was in so much pain that she broke out in a cold sweat. She was a little dizzy, but she forced herself to look up. It was Trand’s reinforcement.

“Step on the gas and meet them. Stone, knock him out.”

Qiao Yue gave two orders in one sentence, one to the driver and the other to Stone.

Judging from Stone’s way of doing things just now, he would definitely cause them trouble.

After receiving Qiao Yue’s order, Stone hit the back of Trand’s neck with a knifehand strike. Stone was afraid that Trand would put on an act again, so he struck him again.

The two off-road vehicles drove at their top speed and passed by the convoy that came to rescue Trand.

As if they had sensed something, the enemy convoy began to split into two groups, one rushing towards the fire while the other chased after them.

The people who could participate in tonight’s mission were all first-class experts. Even with broken windshields, they could still drive fast and avoid the impact of the vehicles behind them.

But every time the car shook, Qiao Yue’s face turned paler.

Suddenly, gunshots rang out from behind. Qiao Yue frowned. Chu Jia had said just now that she would cover them, so she followed behind them. She wondered how Chu Jia was doing.

“Boss, how are you?”

Stone’s anxious question was filled with self-blame. If he had not been careless with Trand, his boss would not have been injured.

“It’s fine. This has nothing to do with you. I was too careless. ”

Qiao Yue knew what Stone was thinking just by looking at him. Stone had always been like this. Every time someone was injured during his mission, he would blame it on himself.

With a bang, the back of Qiao Yue’s vehicle was rear-ended hard.

“Chu Jia!”

Qiao Yue’s heart exclaimed as she had a moment of clarity. But just as she was about to look behind her, Stone pulled her back.

“Sanzi, keep stepping on the gas, don’t stop.”

Stone gritted his teeth as he spoke. They could not stop now. If they stopped, not only would they not be able to save Chu Jia, but they would also die.

Qiao Yue clenched her fists and bit her lower lip until it bled. She knew that Stone was right, but she felt like she was suffocating.

The sound of bullets hitting the car was frightening. Sanzi calmly dodged the car shooting at them from behind while great sadness permeated the inside of their vehicle.

Suddenly, Qiao Yue’s phone rang…
