Little Miss Devil: The President's Mischievous Wife

Chapter 476

“Mr. Chu, I expect four million dollars on my account before the hands of the clock strike midnight. Miss Xia will give you my details, and oh, just so you know… we’ll tell Kang Wei to draft the legal complaint against Chu Ting, and your contracts with the Shen family will be terminated once I hadn’t received the exact amount.”

‘You want to bully me, then I’ll make you bleed and cough money instead,’ she thought.

Chu Zhihao waved his hand and called his assistant. He whispered his instructions for him to settle and gather the amount needed as soon as possible. He still couldn’t believe that this woman, the demon’s wife, had an appetite of a wolf. The four million dollars he gained in three months was easily snatched away by Lu Xinyi.

His gaze then landed on his useless daughter who was still fawning over Shen Yi. Damn this daughter for giving him a lot of headaches today. Not only did he lose the support of the Chu family, but he also lost a hefty amount of money to Lu Xinyi.

At this point, he regretted everything so much. He also cursed his luck by having Chu Ting as his daughter. Why? Why didn’t he gain a daughter as witty and smart as Lu Xinyi? Just now, Lu Xinyi was able to turn the tide to her favor without breaking a sweat. Moreover, with her smart mouth and negotiation skills, she was indeed a woman that could match the demon king.

“Rest assured, Madam Shen that your four million dollars will be deposited tonight.”-.

The corners of Lu Xinyi’s lips curled into a small smile. She then gestured Xia Yuhan to give her account details to Chu Zhihao’s assistant.

Xia Yuhan rolled her eyes before sauntering towards Chu Zhihao’s assistant and passing the information they needed.

“You better give what she asks for before midnight. Madam Shen’s patience isn’t good. She doesn’t like to wait for too long,” she commented, knowing too well that Lu Xinyi hated tardiness.

Chu Zhihao together with his team and daughter left Flair Apparel with a sour mood while Yao Zhelan chose to stay behind, hoping she would still get a chance to talk to Shen Yi.

“President Shen, I hope this won’t change your opinion to me…” She rubbed her hands shyly and chewed her lip.

Lu Xinyi gave her a blank stare while Shen Yi didn’t respond to her for a few seconds.

“President Shen…”

“Who are you?” Shen Yi asked, not understanding why this woman stayed behind when Chu Ting and her father ran away with their tails between their legs. “Dear, do you know who she is?” he asked his wife, keeping a hand rested on her hip as they watched the Chus leave.

Shen Yi’s question was like a slap on Yao Zhelan’s face. For a well-known actress in the entertainment industry like her, how could President Shen not know her? They even went on a date once!

“Pfft.” Lu Xinyi covered her mouth in an attempt to stop her laughter but failed anyway. Yao Zhelan’s face burned red from embarrassment. Had he forgotten about her, or was he acting like he didn’t know her in front of Lu Xinyi?

“Darling, how can you not know Yao Zhelan? She’s a popular actress,” she chided him.

“Really? Her name doesn’t ring a bell to me.” He shrugged and ignored Yao Zhelan to find his adopted children, leaving the woman with his wife and Xia Yuhan. He Haotian followed him as they discussed his intention to train Lu Xinyi before her cooking battle with Ye Xieren.

“Ah, Miss Yao. I’m sorry about that. My husband tends to forget things and people that don’t concern him,” Lu Xinyi said with a grin. It wasn’t lost to her how Chu Ting and this woman ogled at her husband shamelessly since his arrival.

People that didn’t concern him? Yao Zhelan felt that the couple had given him a face slap at the same time. If Lu Xinyi’s words didn’t imply that she was nothing but dirt in Shen Yi’s eye, then Yao Zhelan clearly didn’t understand Shen Yi at all.

Xia Yuhan and the manager shook their heads and left the two women alone to resume their work outside. In Xia Yuhan’s opinion, Yao Zhelan was another idiot who didn’t know when to stop. Lu Xinyi had already dropped the truth about her marriage with Shen Yi, and yet this woman still dared to covet after her husband.

“Pardon me, Miss Lu, but I don’t mean anything with my words to President Shen…” Yao Zhelan forced her words between her teeth as she tried to control her simmering anger. She’d seen how vicious Lu Xinyi could be when she dealt with Chu Ting. However, unlike Chu Ting, she wasn’t planning to ruin her own reputation by antagonizing this little devil.

“Eh? What is it supposed to mean then?” Lu Xinyi tilted her head slightly and cupped her chin with one hand. “If my husband says he doesn’t know you, then he doesn’t. I believe with my husband’s words.”

Trying to come between her and her husband? Ha! Yao Zhelan was such a moron then. Her marriage with Shen Yi was based on their faith and trust in each other. They couldn’t understand each other well even without saying anything, and that was a connection that Lu Xinyi never had with anyone but her husband.

“I’m not implying anything, Miss Lu. Although it seemed that President Shen indeed forgot about our first encounter.”

Lu Xinyi hummed and gave the other woman a good look. Yao Zhelan had a pretty face and a slender body, a body most women would be jealous of. Her long shiny midnight hair reached her waist and curled on its end. The black bodycon dress she wore hugged her curves in the right places.

“Miss Yao, please call me Madam Shen. You are too formal. I’m Miss Lu when I wasn’t married, but it’s different now,” she said, her eyes mocking Yao Zhelan for trying to seduce her husband in her presence. How dumb could this woman be?

Yao Zhelan was enraged with Lu Xinyi’s words but forced to compose herself. Call her Madam Shen? Lu Xinyi was really a wicked woman, slapping her title as Young Madam Shen to women who covet after Shen Yi. She didn’t give her a chance to pine about Shen Yi and broken her fantasies by announcing their marriage right to her face.

Lu Xinyi was aware that her husband had an innately captivating presence that could charm other women. However, she didn’t think that any of them could be considered her rival as none of them had used their brains properly. For her, desperate women throw themselves; and weak men accept the offer. She was sure that the man she married wasn’t weak at all.

Aside from being a workaholic husband, Shen Yi spent his remaining time lately by either taking a nap which she rubbed on him or trying to impregnate her because he couldn’t keep his hands away from her. She was sure as hell that he didn’t have enough time to cheat on her with his packed schedule.

Yao Zhelan—knowing now that she could not beat Lu Xinyi—turned on her heel, strode to the door with stiff dignity, and left Lu Xinyi standing in the middle of the room.
