Little Miss Devil: The President's Mischievous Wife

Chapter 191

The representatives of Griffin Entertainment (Tang family) and Liu Technologies (Liu family) were introduced after Sun Feiyan, but Lu Xinyi’s attention had been fixated on her cousin. She wanted to slap away that smug look on Sun Feiyan’s face, but she knew that the only way she could do that was to pass the exams with flying colors. She would never give Sun Feiyan the satisfaction that she could intimidate her in public.

“And of course, last but not the least, SY Holding’s representative, Shen Xue.” Huo Meili announced, which brought Lu Xinyi back to reality.

She saw her brother-in-law stand up and wave to the crowd of girls chanting his name. If she didn’t know that he was the Vice President of the Shen Group of Companies, Lu Xinyi might think that he was a popular idol revered by teenagers with raging hormones.

“KYAAAA!!! Master Xuexue, look here! Look here!” -.

“We love you, Master Xue!”

“Good morning, Master Xue!”

“Thanks, you made my good morning a great morning with your beauty.” Shen Xue winked back at the crowd of his fans, and Lu Xinyi sweatdropped. She could swear some girls passed out from his charm.

Oh, dear. Was Shen Xue also infected by her husband’s shamelessness, or this was totally normal among the members of the Shen family? Lu Xinyi shook her head. Unlike her husband, Shen Xue’s actions suggested that he liked being the center of attention.

“I know some of you were anticipating to see my big brother, but he’s really busy right now. I’ll be his substitute for today.”

The rest of his words were drowned by the squealing and screaming from the audience. Shen Yi’s absence was totally forgotten as the girls fought for Shen Xue’s attention.

Lu Xinyi’s eyes scanned the area around her then stopped when she saw Meng Jiao’s serious face along with the other examinees. She seemed very determined to pass the final exams that Meng Jiao wasn’t paying attention to other participants and was waiting patiently for the main event.

That surprised Lu Xinyi. She hadn’t seen her ex-best friend this serious. What could have gotten to that woman?

Huo Meili’s enchanting voice resonated within the stadium as she introduced Han Zhian, Silver Leaf Academy’s headmaster and chairman. Following behind him was his daughter who was also part of the board of directors, Han Zhiling.

Chairman Han appeared to be energetic and playful at his age. His reputation was known within the Silver Leaf as playful and mischievous although, sometimes, he was capable to present himself professionally if needed. He enjoyed interacting with the students and loved challenges when it was presented. In his youth, he was a popular traditional chef within the country that his dishes were deemed rare and expensive and people would fight for the right to be served by him.

Lu Xinyi thought that the old man had an interesting character. When she saw him first, she thought his hair was very unusual. It was very long and lush with a mix of a gray and white tint.

She reckoned that he must be in his seventies: his face is time-chiseled and weather-beaten, but the smile on his face told her that he enjoyed his life. It totally transformed his face, and the years dropped away from it. His eyes shone bright, and his teeth gleamed like pearls. His youthful spirit remained as if he wouldn’t allow life and old age to get the better of him.

Beside him sat Han Zhiling. Her personality was very much opposed to his father. She spoke softly and preferred to observe than participate, but she held her back straight and wore fashionable clothes deemed at her social status. At the age of forty-three, it was believed that she would become the next headmistress of the academy after her father.

Chairman Han leaned slightly towards his daughter and whispered, “Have you seen the list?” He was pertaining to the list of examinees and expected that Han Zhiling had found it on her own what seemed to be amusing.

Han Zhiling nodded, her eyes busy checking around the examinees’ faces until they stopped at Lu Xinyi. “Yes.”

Her father didn’t seem to mind her lack of interest in a conversation, but she found someone that had caught his attention. Chairman Han chuckled and cupped his chin as they waited for the introductions to finish.

“I find it amusing that two of his children are attending Silver Leaf at the same time,” he commented before sipping his tea.

“Technically, she is his only child.” Han Zhiling corrected her father. She was a bit disappointed to see that Lu Xinyi inherited Sun Meixiu’s looks. “Though she doesn’t look anything like her father.”
