‘Shen Yi is going to kill me. Or maybe Xiao Lan or both of us.’ Lu Xinyi looked back down at the stained floorboards of his Audi, eyeing the spilled chocolate milkshake. Her husband would not be pleased with it.

“I’m really sorry about spilling my milkshake. I promise I’ll pay for the cleaning.” Xiao Lan felt guilty for giving Xinxin more problems.

“No, no, it’s okay. I just forgot to give Shen Yi a call that we were going out using his car.”

Yep, Shen Yi will throw a fit once he found out that she sneaked out with Xiao Lan. Generally, she could just for a chauffeur to drive for them but Lu Xinyi felt she hadn’t had some girly time since she parted ways with Meng Jiao.

“I’m sure he won’t mind that you’re getting out to go shop with me. You haven’t been out for days anyway.” Xiao Lan reassured Lu Xinyi.

Of course, he wouldn’t mind if ONLY they had taken a chauffeur or a bodyguard with them. He was just worried that something might happen to her again while he wasn’t around. He worries too much. _-.

“Let’s just enjoy the day, I can just give him a quick call to let him know we went out.” Lu Xinyi laughed awkwardly before focusing on the road ahead of them. “So where do you plan to buy when we get into the city?”

“I don’t know. Do you think it’s a good idea to replace my whole wardrobe? My body will become a whale soon.” Xiao Lan sobbed at the passenger seat.

“Urgh, Xiao Lan. You aren’t fat. You’re pregnant. But maybe if you show up too soon, you might be the one ending up with a pair of twins.” Lu Xinyi got a smug look on her face. The shock expression on her friend’s face was priceless.

“LU XINYI!” Xiao Lan emphasize each of syllables of Lu Xinyi’s name, “You evil woman! Don’t cast that Shen curse into me. If there’s someone who should get pregnant with twins, it should be you! Why can’t we pregnant at the same time so I wouldn’t be the only one suffering like this?”

“Sorry to disappoint you, dear. The oven isn’t ready to cook some buns. It may take some time.”

Lu Xinyi slowed down the car and turned right to the parking car, not caring that her friend was fuming with disappointment with her.

“Wow, you look amazing!” Lu Xinyi’s eyes twinkled in awe.

Xiao Lan spun around to let Lu Xinyi see the details of her flowery dress flowing around her as she moves. She was gorgeous and blooming. Was it because of her pregnancy glow? Lu Xinyi thought that Xiao Lan got a nice radiant glow recently.

The dress emphasized Xiao Lan’s womanly curves, making her chest looked bigger than usual. Lu Xinyi stared blankly on Xiao Lan’s cleavage before casting down her gaze to her almost flat chest.

‘Why can’t I have boobies like that? Such an unfair world we are in.’ she sighed mentally.

Lu Xinyi shook her head and tried to focus on helping Xiao Lan pick her new clothes for her wardrobe. She didn’t need to buy anything for herself but considered to buy something for her husband for a peace offering later.

“I think I’ll get this and the rest of the clothes on our pile.” Xiao Lan said before turning back to the changing room leaving Lu Xinyi outside.

Three women came with clothes to try on their arms. They were gossiping and talking loudly.

“I don’t believe it. It can be serious. My prince charming is already taken?” One of them wailed with fake tears in her eyes.

“I bet she seduced him. There’s no way the golden prince will fall for a woman like that!”

Lu Xinyi frowned. Was it really normal for socialite women to gossip around like this? She couldn’t remember Miss Qiao teaching her about it. The only thing she had mention was to keep your thoughts inside of you than to offend people.

Xiao Lan came back with a deep frown in her place. She sat beside Lu Xinyi while glaring towards the women’s direction.

‘What’s the matter? Something wrong?” Lu Xinyi asked.

“Sorry, I forgot to mention that there’s a photo of you and Shen Yi circulating around.” She whispered to Lu Xinyi’s ear. She took the latest magazine on the side table and passed it to Lu Xinyi. It was a showbiz magazine and in front page was her husband with her in his arms!

Lu Xinyi’s jaw dropped, her eyes wide as saucers. What the hell? Was her husband aware of this rumors?

On the cover, Shen Yi was holding her bridal style as he ascended slowly up the stairs. His face impassive but his hold on her was gentle and secure. Lu Xinyi’s face was turned to his chest with her hair successfully covering it from everyone. Her eyes landed on the headline of the magazine.

Lu Xinyi’s brow raised on that. Everyone kept on calling her a commoner but was she really one? She wasn’t bothered by that but she was pissed on people thinking she had seduced Shen Yi. If only they knew that he was the one who kept pestering her before she yielded on his wishes.

“I know, right?! She must have done something to force Shen Yi to date her!”

Suddenly the other changing room’s curtain opened up. A small woman stepping out with rage in her face. Lu Xinyi’s frown deepened. What was Xia Yuhan doing in here? She hoped the woman wouldn’t cause trouble for her.

“Shut up, losers! Do you really think that Shen Yi will date bimbos like you?!” Xia Yuhan yelled to the gossip mongers.
