I Hate Systems

Chapter 468: Post-Apocalyptic Dispatch Society

Chapter 468: Post-Apocalyptic Dispatch Society

The Apocalypse World was the property of the Coincidental Luck System. And, since it was a high-quality Mental Energy farm with the most sought-after Host to the Luck Systems, Rhizen, all the Luck Systems gathered to gain ownership of the Apocalypse World from the Coincidental Luck System.

And, they cunningly sent in Hatchling Systems that were all useless for the Coincidental Luck System’s growth. Devouring them would only end up injuring itself. And leaving them to their own devices would lead to Rhizen’s death sooner or later, as it had already happened many times.

As it didn’t know of his scheme, it believed that the moment Rhizen knew of its existence, his mind would be so much affected that he would lose all capability to harness the power of luck. In truth, this was Rhizen’s ploy that he executed once, making it believe so from thereafter.

Therefore, left with no other option, the Coincidental Luck System had to look for a System Slayer to kill the Hatchling Systems. And, it indeed found a few, but all of them died one after another.

Some of them managed to kill a few Systems but ended up dying after 2-3 loops. But, this was also because the Coincidental Luck System only searched for System Slayers with mid-level potential. It never talked with a System Slayer capable of becoming the Main Character in the future.

Well, it wasn’t as if they were common in the first place. Even System Slayers were incredibly rare. Their numbers were so few and most of them were in hiding to not be targeted by the Systems.

So, finding even one System Slayer was incredibly rare. But eventually, it stumbled upon Compass Carburettor, an individual with the potential to become the Main Character right from the get-go. All he needed was just enlightenment.

The moment they chanced upon him, the part of Rhizen stored within the Coincidental Luck System’s mind took action, causing it to lower the value of its estimation of him.

The Coincidental Luck System judged Compass Carburettor as a high potential System Slayer that was a step below the level necessary to become the Main Character. So, it planned to use him until he reached Level 49 before trapping him.

This trap would cause all the Systems in his mind to fuse into one and birth a new System that would destroy his mind and take root within, thereby gaining a System Slayer stuck at level 49 that also gained the identity and could level up as a System.

This was the trap the Systems used to bring System Slayers over to their side, gaining the power to deal with fellow System competitors.

The Elf in the Apocalypse World was one such individual whose original ego and personality had been destroyed and replaced by the Primordial Origin System that grew in his mind. And once the Primordial Origin System crossed level 50, there was no hope for its System Slayer body to ever become the Main Character.

Instead, it turned into a powerhouse among Systems, capable of refining powers beyond its genre without any limitations. And this was the most powerful tool refined by the Destiny Luck System to act as its weapon against its enemies.

Rhizen had to be patient and endure one more loop while sealed within the Coincidental Luck System’s mind. As for his other self, he was unaware of everything, acting like a normal teenager.

Obviously, he was damn smart and capable for his age, but that was it. He was fooled, and that led to Chenger being kidnapped by Shyvern once again.

And by the time Compass Carburettor became the Main Character, Chenger had already been broken once again.

When Rhizen concluded his story, it was late into the night, with a few hours left before the Folkan Secret Realm closed.

Ranze, Xuer, and Bunuela were waiting elsewhere, pretty confused. Ignoring them for the time being, Compass Carburettor conversed with Grisha and Rhizen.

“You can cheat death, right?” Rhizen asked. “Do you have a different method than the one you used when I killed you?”

“Hmm…” Compass Carburettor thought for a moment before saying, “It shouldn’t be ready yet.”

“Will it be ready before my world loops again?” Rhizen asked next.

“It should be possible.” Compass Carburettor nodded, “Why are you asking this?”

“Be killed by Straxia a few seconds before my world loops.” Rhizen said, “That’s only a short enough interval to confirm your death, but the message would be sent across.”

“There should be at least a Grade 2 System observing the state of this world now. It is probably locating the Main Character’s fate or presence through a mysterious means.” Rhizen said, “So, you’ll need to die once to fool them completely.”

“The way you act next would decide whether or not the Grade 2 Systems are fooled,” Rhizen concluded.

“I’ll think of the process.” Compass Carburettor nodded before asking, “What about on your side? How do you plan to free your world? Even if the Luck Systems are dead for the time being, they would eventually revive in the future. And nothing is stopping other Systems from descending into your world.”

“I’ll create a weapon regarding that, one that would prevent the Systems from entering my world.” Rhizen pointed at the sky, “I’ll steal the Restriction Order they’ve used here.”

“Is this Restriction Order something like an Artifact?” Compass Carburettor asked in shock upon seeing Rhizen claim that it could be stolen.

“Yes,” Rhizen nodded, “The Restriction Order is actually the Core Skill of the first Main Character. It’s also the strongest Main Character ability to date. And, the Systems are activating it through his corpse.”

“Main Character’s Core Skill…” Compass Carburettor sighed. He was still level 0, so that wasn’t possible. Only when he reaches level 1 would he awaken to his exclusive Main Character Core Skill.

“But, I can’t do it on my own. As the Main Character, I need your help to succeed in this.” Rhizen said, “And, as long as I siphon your Main Character’s luck into the Restriction Order from time to time, it’ll be possible to steal it eventually.”

“I see,” Compass Carburettor nodded, “The Restriction Order would indeed prevent the Systems from entering your world. But, what’s your plan following that?”

“I hate apocalypses.” Rhizen stated with a fierce stare, “Any scenario that forces people to bring out the worst in humanity, I’ll eradicate it.”

“I have the Human Divine Martial Spirit. It has already pledged to follow me back to my world once I accepted the conditions posed by the Divine Martial Spirits.” Rhizen said, “And, thanks to all the memories of the Coincidental Luck System and the memories of the original timeline in statis, I have an idea of the power system to use and continue with my plan.”

“Just like you, Compass, I’ll create a Society of my own.” Rhizen said, “And, the goal of this Society would be to save all the worlds suffering from an apocalypse. I’ll name it the…”

“Post-Apocalyptic Dispatch Society.”

Author Notes: [Post-Apocalyptic Dispatch Society] Would be released next week. It’ll follow Rhizen’s journey through the Apocalyptic Worlds and save them. Of course, both the novels would run at the same timeline.

If you have liked Rhizen as a character in Volume 2, you’ll come to enjoy this story even more as the two characters would join hands in both the novels from time to time after this.

I have been planning extensively for this, so do look forward to it.
