Chapter 2498 - Rabblefiend the Black Shark

Chapter 2498 - Rabblefiend the Black Shark

The Black Panther Army had broken the formation ahead of schedule, thanks to Tianming’s earlier help as well as the deaths of the skywell seafiend and cuttlefiend cobras. With Lin Xiaodao reducing the formation’s nova source output in the Inkwell Sea, its defensive formation was now very dependent on the billion ebons. However, they weren’t a stable source. After the skywell seafiend had been bisected, the Kunmo ebons’ hearts had faltered.

The formation being cracked open meant its core had been exposed. The Fiendclaw shot for the core region, intending to break the core and stop the formation from coming back up again.

In the face of an astralship war, even ebon astral gods could only flee.

“Destroy the formation core, destroy their astralships, and kill the wildbeasts!” Lin Xiaoxiao ordered.

The entire battlefield fell into pandemonium as the Inkwell Sea faced an apocalypse. The ebons’ higher-ups all chose to either die in battle or abandon the Inkwell Sea and run! Escaping to another ebon base meant that they would preserve their fighting power, but it also meant they had truly admitted defeat. It was a difficult choice for the proud ebons.

However, the astralship pilots couldn’t find it in themselves to fight when they remembered the skywell seafiend’s death.

The countless giant swords of the Black Panther Army fell from the sky, extremely eye-catching as they tore through the pink storm. “Surrender or die!”

Before these booming roars, the twenty thousand astralships below all started panicking, with some even beginning to flee.

“When there’s life, there’s hope!”

“We still have a chance for revenge as long as we still have our astralships!”

“People are the most important thing! The ebons only have a future as long as we’re still alive!”

“What about the people below?”

“I don’t care about them, they’re just ordinary people! Didn’t you hear the enemy? They only have to surrender!”

Those below that lacked astralships were naturally not part of the Kunmo Clan’s core bloodlines. Those with actually important identities had either been moved before the battle or were already in the best astralships they had.

The first few deserters caused a domino effect and more and more astralships flew away.

“Clan lord!” Within their only sanctuary-class astralship, the Rabblefiend, the remaining experts were looking at Kunmo Yong, the only one of the three brothers that had stayed behind.

“We have to organize everyone for a last stand! We can’t give up on our home! We’ll still have a chance if we fight till the end!”

“Clan lord, many people are fleeing, say something!”

The Inkwell Sea had finally sunk into true chaos.

“Heed my orders!” Kunmo Yong’s face twisted. He raised his arm and looked down upon the Inkwell Sea. “All astralships, retreat toward Tyrantblade City!”

Everyone was stunned the moment the words left his mouth.

“Lord!”

“Enough! Inkwell City has fallen, but not the ebons of Gladeus and Ebonia! Prepare for a revenge battle. Mark my words, we will return to Inkwell City!” Kunmo Yong roared before directing the Rabblefiend toward the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.

The Rabblefiend was in the shape of a black shark. It was made of sanctuary ores, and although astralships needed countless times as many materials as a cosmic artifact, that was exactly why they had such shocking resilience. The black shark leapt out of the water like an arrow shooting toward the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, its open maw full of sharp teeth.

Of course, it wasn’t intending to attack the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. If it got tied down and the Fiendclaw joined in, not even it would be able to extricate itself. Kunmo Yong’s true goal was to save his brothers.

Cultivators’ size was an advantage in astralship wars. While Moran had used her wonders to suppress the skywell seafiend, she couldn’t stop the two brothers. The two brothers had decisively chosen to abandon their mission and run as soon as the skywell seafiend had died and the formation fell, and despite the countless Yin Chens scattered everywhere, the flashes, smoke, and storms everywhere had prevented Tianming from tracking the two.

The three brothers united inside the Rabblefiend. However, Kunmo Cang and Kunmo Chao were much weaker now that they had lost their warbeasts.

“Let’s go!” Kunmo Yong didn’t need Kunmo Cang’s reminder and the Rabblefiend quickly flew north.

“Did you bring the evil eye?” Kunmo Chao hurriedly asked.

“Of course, along with all of the clan’s legacies and treasures.” Kunmo Yong said.

“Excellent!:

“Who was protecting Lin Feng?” Kunmo Yong asked.

“A solarian girl. Can you believe she was using an ether-class wonder?” Kunmo Chao said.

“A solarian? I saw in the intelligence reports that Lin Feng has a wondermancer wife in her thirties. Could it be her?” Kunmo Yong frowned.

“Thirties? No way, that wonder was too strong, she had to be thousands of years old!”

“Enough already! Accelerate!” Kunmo Cang snapped.

Kunmo Yong had just nodded when the Rabblefiend was jostled from behind. He didn’t need to turn to know the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb had caught up.

“He dares to chase?”

“Just a few people?”

“It’s only that dragon! Lin Xiaoxiao is chasing the other astralships!”

“How bold!”

Although they weren’t happy, the three Kunmo brothers continued their flight. The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb continued to keep pace, but the rest of the Black Panther Army had given up.

“That punk is underestimating us!”

“Doesn’t he know he’s a human-shaped treasure? He still dares to run around wildly?”

“Fuck!”

Although they were contemptuous, they didn’t turn their ship around as they didn’t know if there really were no other pursuers. Then they began receiving countless transmission stones.
