Chapter 610 - Negotiation

Chapter 610: Negotiation

Whenever Old K looked at Doll’s apostles he felt uneasy.

That is because it was very clear that they only looked human. Under their skin was not flesh and blood but metalized bones with electric signals flashing and electric currents flowing through them. Even their thoughts were controlled by a central processor.

Doll’s powers were to change himself into a robot. Hence, his apostles could make use of different metals and change themselves into robots forever. They obtained superhuman combat strength. In exchange, they became more and more indifferent until they completely lost the ability to feel emotions, turning into complete killing machines.

The only way to control these robots was for Doll to install a control program inside of them.

Doll’s ability to transform apostles into robots was very intimidating. Their only limit was that a large number of resources were needed to complete each transformation and only apostles could attain such powers.

If there were enough resources and apostles then the threat that Doll posed to the human world was much higher than the King of Death.

In order to capture this robotic supercat, Ivory had sent out an army of apostles and made several sacrifices before finally succeeding.

At this moment, Doll was imprisoned by various means. Only an order from the King of Death could activate Doll’s powers temporarily.

“That is great. With all of you here, I doubt anyone can break into this factory.” Lang Gou shrugged his shoulders. “Anyways I am of no help in this area, so, it will all depend on you guys.”

Midnight said calmly, “We need to expand our market reach before the government discovers us. Except for Big White and the rest, we need to control more supercats to help us promote our goods. This way, by the time the government realizes what we’re doing and tries to stop us, it will be too late.”

Old K laughed. “I thought of that long ago. Last night, I hired a new bunch of supercats. These guys would do anything just to get their hands on the Divine Catmint.

The next day, the time for the negotiation was finally there.

In the Extradimensional Belly, Zhao Yao wore the Flying Cloak and carried both the Xuan-Yuan Sword and Murasama Blade on his belt.

He did not want to waste his remaining 20 Spicy Cat Strips so the equipment he had was more than enough. Elizabeth, Lightning, Roly Poly, and other supercats were all lying on him, hidden by his power of invisibility and and the Deflective Field.

Standing in front of the mirror, Zhao Yao told Roly Poly, “Make all the cats invisible.”

Looking at the black robe he was wearing, Zhao Yao nodded his head and said, “Remember to keep my head invisible. Don’t forget that, it has to stay invisible.”

Roly Poly was in charge of keeping them invisible; Zhao Yao was in charge of the Deflective Field and Elizabeth was responsible for the illusions.

Zhao Yao did not bring Red Packet because he was a non-combat cat. He asked Elizabeth to use her illusions to disguise herself as Li Hua, Dust Ball, and Fish Ball to meet Big White. Big White brought them to an abandoned factory in the suburbs.

Not long after he entered the factory, Old K stared at the surveillance screen and laughed coldly. “Who is this guy?”

Midnight turned his head and frowned. “Big White said she was bringing four supercats. Why is it a human?”

“It may be some kind of power.” Lang Gou said, “He disguised himself as a supercat in front of Big White to be brought in.” He pointed to the surveillance screen and asked, “But what happened to his head?”

The three of them looked at the screen. Black robe, headless…

The three of them looked at each other and Midnight said hesitatingly, “This guy is the headless horseman?”

“It doesn’t matter if he really is the headless horseman or not.” Old K laughed menacingly. “We will know once we catch him and interrogate him.”

Midnight did not reply. He looked at a humanoid and asked, “Number 1, can you analyze what this person looks like without the invisibility power.”

All the surveillance cameras in this factory had been installed by the humanoids. Furthermore, these guys had a powerful central processing unit, CCTVs and other electronic devices. That was why Midnight asked them this question.

The humanoid named Number 1 was silent for a while like he was processing something. Then, he said, “We have used an infrared device to scan the guy.”

While he spoke, Number 1 walked towards a laptop and stretched out a finger, which after undergoing a series of transformations became a thumb drive. He inserted it into the USB port of the laptop.

“This is a model of his facial features according to the data retrieved.”

After a short while, a blurry and simple 3D avatar appeared on the screen of the laptop.

However, the hardware of the laptop and Number 1 were not of the best quality and the infrared device was not very precise. The laptop could not give an accurate depiction of Zhao Yao’s facial features and the model looked shabby.

Looking at the shabby 3D model, Lang Gou’s eyes narrowed.

“This guy, he looks so familiar. He is… is…” He scratched his ears as his mind searched for the people whom he had seen before.

Midnight looked at him and asked, “Is it one of the suspects?”

Upon hearing this, Lang Gou’s eyes lit up, “The owner of Cat Cat café! He is the owner of the Cat café!”

Old K’s eyes lit up too. He rubbed his chin and looked at the model. “It does look like that guy. This means that this guy could be the real headless horseman? The person we caught based on the intel given by ‘someone’ could be a fake?”

Speaking of this, he looked at Midnight mockingly and said, “At least we are very lucky. This guy came to us himself.”

Lang Gou clapped his palms together and said, “Wasn’t the Headless Horseman a chivalrous man? He must have heard about the Divine Catmint and wanted to arrest us.”

“He is asking for it.” Old K sniggered, “Leave it to me. The moment he entered this factory, he already lost.”

Lang Gou walked out leisurely and said, “Then, Old K it is all up to you now. I will cover you from the back and relax.”

Midnight frowned and slowly disappeared into the air. “Don’t be overconfident about this. He is the Cat King of the Jianghai District after all.”

“I don’t care if he is the Cat King or the headless horseman.” Old K laughed coldly. “Once they have been poisoned by me, their lives are no longer theirs.”

Old K was responsible for approaching Zhao Yao from the front, while Lang Gou and Midnight would help him from the sides.

After seeing Big White and the four cats behind him, he couldn’t help but exclaim at how real the illusion looked.

The first thing he said was: “Headless Horseman, you are dead.”
